Hi, I’m Amy Kate! I am a registered Psychologist, an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. I’m passionate about using evidence-based practice to help women thrive with resilience and self-compassion.
Is Psychological Therapy For Me?
Psychological therapy is all about creating a reflective space where we can gently challenge our beliefs, habits, and perspectives without fear of judgement. Great mental health is often underrated, but it’s the foundation for finding happiness and joy in life and to feel supported through different stages. Here are a few questions to find out if psychological therapy is for you.
Do you crave support and space for reflection?
Unfortunately in today’s society, having someone’s undivided attention is quite rare. I’m delighted to offer women a confidential space where you may discuss your difficulties with my full, undivided attention and without the risk of having any intimate details spread to mutual friends. Also, don’t judge yourself before coming in — no issue is too trivial or repetitive.
Are you struggling with stress, depression, or anxiety?
If you’re feeling zapped of energy, anxious, or like it’s just really hard to get up and go, you might benefit from learning about how to replace negative thought patterns with healthy, compassionate ones. It’s time to give yourself space and permission for more happiness and a greater sense of self confidence.
Has something recently happened in your life that you need to flesh out?
Just like when you experience physical health changes, it can be important to seek out the help of a professional for any mental health changes. Life isn’t bump-free, and if you’ve experienced a big change (or perhaps you’re finally feeling ready to talk about something that happened in the past), it might be helpful to receive therapy so you can move forward with more ease and a healthier state of mind.
Are you ready to reach a new level of happiness, self-compassion, and motivation?
People who benefit from therapy come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes it’s not about dealing with a deep, dark problem, but instead just about conscientiously sifting through current thought patterns to find what can be improved for an overall sense of greater wellbeing.
